A Very Insecure ExhibitionShari Denson Karen McBride

UKGiclee with Artcircus Books have produced a special double cover book of photographs to support A Very Insecure Exhibition – available from UKGiclee.co.uk.
The event was staged at the Projekts MCR Skateboard park beneath Manchester’s Mancunian Way and  featured the work of local photographers Shari Denson and Karen Macbride who came together for a celebration of their artistry as hard-working women and contributors to the city’s creative culture.
Shari and Karen were interviewed by Manchester music-journalist John Robb.

A Very Insecure Exhibition

Karen McBride Working with independent bands is the lifeblood of the independent. It’s what gives us a reason to breathe, we don’t need ‘big names’ to click our cameras, the big names don’t make us who we are. The dark unruly raw soul of bands like the Paris Riots: they are the ones that drive us, that drag us into underground smoky venues, their egos just as big as any on an arena stage. It’s for this reason that these guys matter to me… because those guys are these guys...and why shouldn’t I and they become one, just for that one moment? They mattered then and they matter now..

Shari Denson My goal is not so much to document, but to create beautiful images that can be looked back upon... a reminder of who we were and in the years to come, proof that we existed. As an emotional person, I spot emotions in others easily. I celebrate them. I see the beauty and always want to show it. These photos have been sitting on a hard drive for years. Some were scanned in from the negatives many years ago. They’ve been in a digital prison and it’s time they were set free.

We provide a way to print Art Cards in small quantities at affordable prices.
Our cards are printed on A3 sheets with 8 cards on each sheet.
When you set up the sheet, you can choose to have any combination of cards on the sheet, for example 8 cards all the same, 8 different cards or any combination
When you buy the cards, you choose how many sheets you want to be printed – and you will receive 8 cards for each sheet.

What size are the cards?

We trim the cards to A6 – i.e. 14.85cm x 10.5cm

What happens if the image is the wrong shape to fit the card?

Any images that are the wrong shape are automatically cropped so that they fit
Before you buy the cards, you can check what they will look like using the preview.

What does the Preview Button do?

The Preview will create a PDF file in a new tab showing you exactly what will be printed.
